Scott McGillivray’s passion lies in educating people to make smart investment and renovation decisions to succeed in the uber-competitive world of real estate.
For over 15 years Scott has been investing in properties across North America. What began as an ambitious school project about income properties developed into a long-term, successful investing strategy that shows no signs of slowing down. Scott learned his trade through necessity – he became a licensed contractor to renovate and maintain his rental properties, and with that cost-saving strategy he was able to parlay his success into more and more properties. He currently own dozens of properties across North America and houses hundreds of happy tenants. Most recently Scott has expanded his real estate business by launching some new multi-residential real estate developments in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.
Scott’s been a top rated HGTV star in the USA and Canada since 2008, when he debuted his award-winning show, Income Property, which he hosted and executive produced for 11 seasons. During that time he helped hundreds of homeowners generate income from their homes and take control of their financial futures. In 2016 Scott let viewers into his personal life when he executive produced and starred in Moving the McGillivrays, along with his wife Sabrina and their two little girls, Myah and Layla. The family-centered show gave viewers an unprecedented look into Scott’s home life as he and Sabrina built not just their own dream home, but a beautiful home for a deserving family in need. And in 2018 Scott will debut his new series, Buyers Bootcamp to audiences across the USA and Canada.
