What We Do

McGillivray Entertainment is the production home of real estate expert and HGTV star Scott McGillivray – producer and host of the award-winning series, “Income Property”.  

McGillivray Entertainment was established in 2014 in order to establish production capabilities within the McGillivray Group of companies. McGillivray Entertainment continues to expand the Scott McGillivray brand on Television, OTT’s and online.

Working with some of the industry’s most talented creatives, McGillivray Entertainment has recently produced Moving the McGillivrays for HGTV Canada, Buyer’s Bootcamp for Scripps Networks and Scott’s House Call for digital hosted on YouTube. His popularity both in North America and around the world signifies that audiences want to see more Scott! We are answering the call! McGillivray Entertainment’s latest series, Scott’s Vacation House Rules is set to premiere on HGTV in early 2020.

McGillivray Entertainment continues to grow by leaps and bounds and is excited to use its success with Scott as a launching pad for new and established talent, expanding its development and production beyond real estate, renovation and design creating new, innovative and engaging co-viewing content for the whole family, including home, food, community, weddings, competition series and more!

Who We Are

Scott McGillivray, CEO & Executive Producer

Scott McGillivray’s passion lies in educating people to make smart investment and renovation decisions and how to succeed in the uber-competitive world of real estate. Scott has been a top-rated HGTV star in the US and Canada since 2008, starring in over 300 episodes of television, and is best known as the star and award-winning Executive Producer of HGTV hit series’ “Income Property”, “Moving the McGillivrays” and most recently, “Buyers Bootcamp”. He is currently in pre-production on the fourth season of his successful digital series and Canadian Screen Award nominee, “Scott’s House Call”.

Scott is also an accomplished businessman; he’s CEO of McGillivray Group and McGillivray Entertainment, co-founder of real estate investing education company Keyspire, and a real estate investor with properties across North America. As a skilled contractor, best-selling author, educator, and leading guest expert, Scott McGillivray is trusted for successful renovation and return on investment tactics. He is a respected influencer and digital trailblazer who engages daily with his 1M+ followers.

Andrew McGillivray, President of McGillivray Group

Andrew McGillivray is the co-founder and President of the McGillivray Group and is responsible for the management and development of the Scott brand and group of Companies.  His experience prior to McGillivray Group spans 20-years of Executive-level positions and partnerships from leading Sales and Marketing teams, to Operations and General Management in both domestic and international markets; as well as real estate and the Entertainment industry.  Andrew’s particular expertise focuses on strategic business growth; from start-ups to established businesses in mature markets and includes operating within a variety of business structures from private ownership, to publicly traded multinationals and private equity. Throughout his professional career, Andrew has also been actively involved in real estate, acquiring and managing a number of income-producing properties; creating real estate partnerships; assuming an active role in the development and management of a multi-million dollar purpose-built apartment development; and recently launching a Trusted Realtor Partnership Program. 

Angela Jennings, Vice President, Production & Executive Producer

As VP Production and Executive Producer at McGillivray Entertainment, Angela focuses on growth content development and production, both linear and digital.  She brings over 20-years of experience in factual television and digital production to this fast-growing business.  Angela Executive Produced McGillivray Entertainment’s first television series, “Moving the McGillivrays”, which broke ratings records on HGTV Canada, and is distributed internationally.  She also Executive Produced the company’s newest series “Buyers Bootcamp,” produced for Scripps Networks/Discovery in the US and Corus Entertainment in Canada, and most recently, “Scott’s Vacation House Rules,” premiering on HGTV Canada in Spring 2020.

Previously, Angela spent 15-years as President of Fusion Television, a successful independent production company which she co-founded and co-owned.  With a specialty in the home design/property/renovation category, Angela created and Executive Produced such hits as “Divine Design with Candice Olson”, “Candice Tells All”, “Colour Confidential”, and “Homewreckers”.  Her factual slate extended to food programming with the successful multi-season series “Fearless in the Kitchen” starring celebrity chef, Christine Cushing.

Angela has worked in both Canada and the United States, as Director, Showrunner, and Executive Producer on more than 600 hours of programming, with a heavy emphasis on the home category. Angela managed the financial and legal strategy of the company, in addition to overseeing corporate development plans, creative strategy and daily operations. 

Marnie Sugarman, Vice President, Development

Marnie eats, breathes and thinks content. Marnie started her career in Washington, DC covering the political scene for various U.S. network news affiliates before joining the Washington bureau of ABC News’ 20/20. She returned to Canada for a job at CTV’s W5.

She has directed, produced and/or cast numerous heavy-hitting formatted series (Four Weddings Canada, Slice/TLC), syndicated docu- dramas, Masterminds (CourtTV/History), Cold Blood (Global/Channel 5 UK) competition shows, Masterchef (CTV), Cash Cab (Discovery), The Great Canadian Baking Show (CBC) as well as original live-action children’s programming Cook’d (YTV), Gaming Show in My Parents Garage (Family Channel/Disney XD).

She ran her own branded content and talent coaching service helping to build the creative narrative for brands of major international companies and Public Relations firms.

Marnie is known for creating a fun and supportive working environment where everyone can fully express their creativity and work together to produce top-quality content.
