Get the Look: Transitional Bedroom
Transitional style refers to a blend of classic and modern design. It takes a few elements of each and results in a timeless, gender-neutral style that doesn’t fit any particular period. This transitional bedroom is a great example. Classic elements like the curved headboard and wood side tables combine with more modern elements like the streamlined bench and glass cylinder lamps. The result is simple and sophisticated, but also relaxing and family-friendly.
Most people will tell you that the color palette for transitional rooms should be largely neutral – and I agree, except that I think there’s room for a single deep color such as navy blue. Avoid anything too bright, bold or colorful. And if you want to create a look like this remember to make sure you keep the accessories to a minimum so that the focus is on the clean and simple style.
