The Cortesis name has been a trusted name in the local community since 1917. Born and raised in the area, Michael Cortesis has been an active community member and businessman for many years and was named Businessman of the year in 2008.
As member of the Cobourg Rotary club for over 30 years, Michael has a passion for giving back to his community. He is past chairman of the Peterborough Easter Seals Telethon, past President of the Cobourg Rotary Club, past Co-chair of the Northumberland United Way and has participated in many other local committees. He also coached baseball teams and was a cub leader. Michael has been married to the love of his life Elizabeth for 39 years.
Elaine also has many accomplishments in the community. She received the Northumberland Readers Choice Award for Best Real Estate Agent 2021, she was a past Board of Director Chair for Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre, a past Big Sister of the Big Brother Big Sister Program and a past Mentor of the Summer Company program mentoring young entrepreneurs. She previously worked in downtown Toronto for a well known Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) company in commercial leasing but returned to her roots in Northumberland County with her husband Matt where they raise their three children.
Real estate is a way of life for the Cortesis Real estate Team and both Michael and Elaine personally invest in real estate. Michael and Elaine continue to offer innovative marketing strategies to market homes to get their sellers top dollar. Both Michael and Elaine were recently awarded the Rearders Chocie Award for 2021. Because of their long history in the area they are often in the know for many new listings that are about to appear on the local market and are able to help buyers purchase their dream home.
